Ruth's photos in Scotland before traveling to France.
Ruth and I found a market in Barcelona before we drove down to meet Ron and Robin in Espira de l'Agly in France.
Barcelona market. Sardines are 3 Euro ($4.50) for a kilo (about 2.2 lbs.)
Barcelona market. Spanish cured hams are amazing.
These are really good chips, flavored like roasted chicken. I can't figure out why we don't have them in the States.
Old church near our place in Espira.
Detail from church.
A nearby door in Espira. Apparently, hunting wild boar is a big activity in this region of France, and there's a tradition of nailing the boar's foot to the door of the hunting club that bagged it.
Fresh (in fact still crawling) escargots (snails) available in Perpigan.
I can attest that French people tend not to clean up after their chiens.
